On behalf of Generation Y, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to Generation Z --- members of Generation X, W, U, all the way down to A, please join in.
It seems that, through our selfishness, negligence, short-sightedness, delusion, inaction, etc, we have paved the way toward a future that looks quite grim for our descendants. Even today, we continue to indulge in whatever pleases us, shirk off responsibility, think not of consequences, deny ugly truths, argue and debate as nauseam, and pretty much do anything besides actually resolving the urgent dilemmas of our time.
